For this month’s Launceston meeting, Cheese will be talking about the Godot game engine and his recent experiences with making the upcoming management sim/base building game Hive Time with it. We’ll be looking at general engine usage, some patterns for input handlers, and workflows for getting 2D and 3D resources into the engine.

Hi people! For this month’s Launceston meeting, we will be taking a look at the F/OSS desktop Geographic Information System, QGIS, which supports viewing, editing and analysis of geospatial data. In this talk we will demonstrate how to connect to a variety of different data sources for displaying within a map, as well as adding in new data and editing existing data.
